Hello and thank you for visiting my website. May I first of all introduce myself, my name is Joyce Pickford,
and my husband who usually describes himself as the "chauffeur and gofor" of the team is called John.
We have been married for 42 years, and have a son and a daughter, both of whom are married and have
children of their own. We therefore have a very busy family life and enjoy the love and attention from
our children and six grandchildren. We have been breeding cats for the last 32 years, and they are very
much a part of our family.

We have quite a small cattery, with a relatively small number of cats, and the prefix 'ROSJOY' has become
very well known over the years, both here and abroad, for our colourpoints (Himalayans) and in particular,
red points and cream points with beautiful eye colour and lovely pale coats, and this has become a
benchmark for many breeders in the U.K. to emulate.
We first started breeding by pure chance when a persian kitten which we bought for our children from a
local breeder, turned out to have cat flu and chronic catarrh, and on the advice of our vet, we took the
kitten back to the breeder and in exchange she gave us a tortie colourpoint (who had been kept away
from the kittens affected by flu) with the condition that when the kitten was older she be mated to a stud
09/06/2012cat of her choice, and she got pick of litter. The kittens were born and the breeder was
contacted when the kittens were of an age to leave their mother, and it was then that we were told that
she no longer wanted a kitten as she was giving up breeding and moving out of the area.
One of these four kittens was the start of it all, a very special redpoint girl who was registered as
Sunglow Rosa, who had the most stunning deep blue eyes and clear white coat. She won our hearts
and was the beginning of the Rosjoy cats.
We have always bred big healthy cats with huge bone, good type, lovely eye colour, pale coats and they
are renowned for their loving temperament. We currently are breeding from Canadian/USA/English
bloodlines, and are producing most colours including chocolate/lilac and tabby series.
Our 'role of honour' to date includes:
Four 'Supreme' title holders.
Thirty Seven 'Champions'
Thirty 'Grand Champions' (seperate from above ch`s)
One 'UK Imperial Grand Premier'
Thirteen 'Grand Premiers' &
Seven European 'Grand International Champions'
Seven 'International Champions'
One Royal South African 'Supreme Grand Champion'
both here and abroad, a reputation which speaks for itself.
Some of our titled cats are shown on our 'Winners Page'.
